A mokoro, a master poler, and no engine.
The oldest way to move through the Delta and still the quietest. One boat, one guide, reed by reed, at the speed of a pole pushing against sand. The mokoro goes out all year.

The herd sets the pace, and then you do.
Game drives with your own guide, in your own vehicle, built for the Delta. Elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo.

On horseback, across the floodplains.
Horses cross the shallow water and the long grass where no vehicle goes, and the plains game lets them come closer than it would let an engine. The rides are with a partner who operates nearby.

Down the open channels by boat.
Where the water runs deeper, the boat goes further: birdlife on every bank, and the light at the end of the day on the water. The motorboat runs from May to October, depending on the rain in Angola.

Above the Delta, by helicopter.
Doors off, low over the channels. The helicopter can land anywhere in the concession, for a breakfast or a remote sunset, and it flies day trips to the Makgadikgadi Pans, Tsodilo Hills, Baines' Baobabs and the Victoria Falls.

A night out, under the southern stars.
Safari trucks converted for one night away from the villa, with a deck to sleep on, a place to sit and a small kitchen. The fire is lit before you arrive.

The table is laid out on the grass beside the trucks, and the morning starts whenever you come down.

A walking safari with your guide, for the tracks, the birdsong and the plants the land uses as medicine.

The channels at dawn, when the birdlife floods them and the fish eagle calls first.

For the evenings that are marked in the calendar. Laid on request, on an island of its own.
